About Common Thread
Part of the FARM Hospitality Group
Common Thread is an american restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. It is listed at 122 E 37th St, Savannah, GA 31401, which places it among the local businesses of Savannah that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5β9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Common Thread at (912) 944-7482; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is commonthreadsavannah.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 872 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded american restaurants in Savannah.
Savannah is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Savannah follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A truly phenomenal experience. The service was warm, attentive, and truly exceptional. The ceviche was amazing and packed with flavor. The gnocchi was truly the best Iβve ever had. This is the kind of restaurant you canβt wait to get back to! Highly recommend!

Came to Common Thread for our 4 year anniversary and celebrated with the Chefβs Counter Experience. And my what an experience. Probably one of the most unique and memorable dining experiences weβve had to date. We were greeted with a celebratory glass of prosecco. Every dish that followed was brought out by the chef with a detailed description of what was prepared. Not a single thing we ate left anything to be desired. We are still talking about the potato three ways dish and how it probably ruined all other potatoes to come. This opportunity is the perfect fit for a couple who will appreciate the cost of a delicious meal, a curated experience, and is food friendly (the chef menu was a blind tasting). All the way from our home in St. Louis we are talking about when we can come back and do this experience again. Thank you Chef Victor and staff!

My family has loved farm in Blufftonβ¦ to the point that I had apprehension about common thread. Not that it wouldnβt be good but that it wouldnβt compare to farm and boy was I sorely mistaken. It holds the same standard of service, quality of ingredients, and passion for the art of food. Olivia and Bonnie at the bar served me well and made sure I was enjoying cocktail to the lovely array of foods I ordered. Definitely a top notch spot and well worth the night amazing reviews they already have and this one.

Common Thread in Savannah, GA does NOT disappoint! We have been eyeing this place, and finally made a reservation and gave it a try. Wow. Local, fresh, & innovative- each dish was like an event unto itself. There were so many choices that we wanted; we ended up getting lots of dishes and sharing them all. The presentation of each dish as it was described by the wait staff, was like a present just waiting to be torn into. I hope Iβm not taunting you with things you wonβt get to try- the menu is source availability driven, so I think it changes often. We started with Ceviche made with tile fish, citrus and blueberries! It was fresh and light, a perfect new rendition of a classic dish. Steak Tartar with capers and an egg yolk jam served with malt vinegar potato chips that were so light and thin they just melted in your mouth. Melon salad- possibly my favorite thing among all these amazing dishes. Perfect bites of watermelon, peaches, cantaloupe with ham (maybe Serrano ham?) and served on a bed of whipped feta and paper thin jalapeΓ±os with arugula. Each mouthful was just an explosion of tastes. Our next course, we had the squash blossoms which were delicate and served with

Extraordinary! Savannah has a fabulous restaurant scene and we have sampled many amazing meals while visiting our daughter in the city while she is at SCAD. We had yet to visit Common Thread. (We love its sister restaurants that we have tried). Finally we had a chance to dine here and it was incredible! We did Γ la carte service meaning we selected from the menu with an array of shared plates. Sweet potatoes, beets & berries, roasted carrots, Carolina Gold rice and the NY strip were all incredible. Our star of the show was the mushroom cannelloni. The mushroom forward sauce and filling were savory and unctuous with the roasted bits of squash added the perfect pop of sweetness. Such a surprising and elevated dish really exemplifying the chefβs deft hand. The cocktails (donβt shy away from the more herbaceous ones. They are fabulous!) and desserts rounded out a wonderful meal. Exceptional service from Dust & Nathan completed a truly memorable night of dining in what is also one of Savannahβs most beautiful restaurants.
